The Chicago Pneumatic 2202982900 inlet valve assembly attaches to the main airend and controls the incoming airflow into the compressor. 2202982900 is used on the QRS5.0 and QRS7.5 manufactured AFTER serial number CAI464321. This valve is only used on single phase 230v rotary screw compressors. This inlet valve includes the load/unload solenoid as well as the o-ring that connects the intake assembly to the airend.

Often times this valve will be bad if your compressor does not kick in to build pressure when the lower psi setpoint is reached or it will not idle down when the upper pressure setpoint is reached.
