Cycling Air Dryers

Cycling refrigerated air dryers are the second most common type of air dryer after the non-cycling style. Cycling refrigerated dryers are the most energy efficient style of dryer available. They use an internal thermal mass storage medium to store cooling capacity when the air dryer is not operating in full load. This allows the air dryer to shut off during periods of low airflow without sacrificing drying capacity. Energy savings are achieved since a cycling air dryer is able to shut down during periods of low usage, whereas a non-cycling dryer will continue to run at 100% capacity regardless of air usage. Cycling air dryers are recommended when clean, dry, air is required and your air compressor(s) have high run hours.
